20619 Loans Disbursed in Meerut district

Under the Pradhan Mantri Loan Yojana, loans worth Rs 119.04 crore were sanctioned for 20619 beneficiaries in Meerut district of Uttar Pradesh. This information has been provided by the Chief Development Officer of the district, Shashank Chaudhary. Apart from this, a meeting of the district level committee of the bank was organized in the Vikas Bhawan auditorium. In this meeting, CDO Shashank Chaudhary has urged all bank representatives to cooperate in government schemes. The loan deposit ratio in district Meerut is 56.54% which should be 60%. Instructions have also been given to banks to keep the loan deposit ratio not less than 60%. Apart from this, in the financial year 2021-22 under Pradhan Mantri Loan Yojana, 20619 beneficiaries have been sanctioned a loan of Rs 119.04 crore during the period up to 10 September 2021. Of these, Shishu loans worth Rs 43.17 crore were provided to 17309 beneficiaries. Kishor loans were provided to 2847 beneficiaries amounting to Rs.39.36 crores and Tarun loans to 463 beneficiaries amounting to Rs.36.50 crores.

  • Lead bank manager Sanjay Kumar said that in the annual loan planner district, against the annual loan plan of Rs 13859.42 crore, during the year 2021-22 June quarter, a loan of Rs 2300.38 crore has been disbursed. This is 17% of the target of the loan disbursement scheme.
  • Against the annual loan plan of 4700.12 crore of Meerut district, during the June quarter of the year 2021-22, a loan of Rs 471.50 crore has been disbursed. This is the achievement of 10% of the target of the scheme. Instructions have been provided to all the bank representatives to achieve their respective Annual Credit Plan targets.

About 28 crore beneficiaries got the benefit of Prime Minister’s Loan Yojana

2% interest subvention to beneficiaries falling under Shishu Category

All those borrowers whose dues are due till 31 May 2020 and they do not fall in the NPA category (whose installments are coming continuously) will be provided the benefit of interest subvention scheme. Last year, as per the plan of the Reserve Bank, the permission to stop the repayment of loans was given due to corona virus infection. The benefit of interest subvention scheme will be provided to all the borrowers covered under this scheme after the completion of the moratorium period. This benefit will be provided for 12 months.
